hey everyone, wondering what LCA everyone has, and why you choose it, at the moment im looking to get the blox, skunk2, or function form, any info would help, thanks

I'm using oem, no problems with them so didn't see much point just yet.

Most people swap them out when bushes need replacing. There are no advantages over oem bar some weight reduction.

Blox: I have heard reviews from some people, (Blinx9900 I believe experienced this) that their bushes tend to wear remarkably quickly. However, there are users on here with Blox lca's who have not experienced any problems.

Function 7 lca's are good, but the bushes supplied in them may not be suitable for you if your car is a daily driver. They have been known to squeek and are very stiff. I also believe you cannot use oem EK9 droplinks with them, no doubt the same for EK4. Here's some good info on them:

As for the others, the majority are basically the same. Aluminium etc lca's with polyurethane or rubber bushes. A lot of the price and desire for these is simply 'bling' factor. :)

Have you considered Mugen bushes in your oem lca's?

I'm in the UK so I'm not too familiar with US import companys. However I do know of these guys, they will probably be able to help you out:

King Motorsports Unlimited, Inc.

and these guys are actually members on here, so give them a pm and ask :nice:

N1 Concepts: Build Attitude - Premier Import Car Source for JDM and New Automotive Parts.

Failing that, these guys can help you out, company is based in the UK but all parts ship from Japan to wherever you are:

www.vtecdirect.com

And you can also try these:

Apexi, Blitz, HKS, Nismo, Greddy and other JDM Parts direct from Japan - Nengun Performance

Mugen Suspension Parts

Or email JDMjunkies.ch, contact Nil on this address (it is a company based in the Netherlands I believe, but they will ship anywhere):

yeah like they say don't use blox get either skunk2 or function7
i got skunk2 on my eg and they work good

I recommend PIC peformance LCA's, they offer poly and spherical bearing LCA's. Spherical bearings (no compliance joints in place of bushings), along with light weight in some brands, are the benefits of new LCA's.
Some LCA's offer different endlink mounting places.

If I had a 6th gen hatch or a 5th gen hatch and wanted to use USDM style arms.

passwordjdm or hardrace would be my only choices currently. PIC also.

The rest with no option for spherical bearings or hard rubber bushings are a waste of time.

PU (polyurethane) is NOT an ideal material.

I went with Funcion-7, but SSR, SPC, PIC or OEM with HARDRACE bushings or new oem ones are the best! For me was for strenght of the alluminum and lightness of it! I´m awar that urethane bushings are far more rigid and they wearout far more faster than OEM or other volcanize rubber! In my use of it is perfect!

For DD i do suggest the use of the OEM style rubber, if you like the bling well at least go with volcanize rubber not that crapy injected rubber such as blox and others like it!

SPC or eibach (for the europeen market i seen SPC troghout eibach) are the best price/quality ratio....bearings...well that´s track use only, far more expensive to maintain, lot less confort ect..!
