Max RPM


A lot of things can minimize risk, but what RA is saying is the simple fact is, the higher you rev it the sooner you'll need a rebuild.

Sorry yes understand that it will limit the amount of time before a rebuild, a lot of things.. like what specificially? if you dont mind explaining/elaborating. Cheers
 
Probably the first few things to go would be the rings.

But once you open up the motor to do rings, a host of other things should be replaced too, timing belt, tensioner, bearings, seals, gaskets. Even the piston might be out of round or in extreme cases, the block.

Normally, these have a service life of at least 60,000miles or about 100,000kms. But when you drive it like you stole it aka "enthusiastically," the normal service limits do not apply.
 
i have a gsr with ctr pistonz gsr head ctr camshafts and i take my rev up to 8500rpm still making power..
