anyone had one of these on there car ? and does it even work on honda's?

i'm looking into this as could be worth it maybe ?

would love some info on this please lads

just seems to be a good idea

I doubt no one on here is running it but it is something that i have been looking into recently for a bit of fun. I'm probably at the same stage as you though (reasearching)

sounds like a porno! lol but actually reading into it it seems pretty good! Utilises wideband data logs to auto tune your afr and idle once you have established the required parameters. can also do launch control and boost control! :)

I've heard its a challenge to tune so i'm intrested !

very interested software very few have it on there car tho i only know of 2 personally people mostly use aem, hondata, crome, neptune, ectune etc.... just my 0.2c

If it's anything like the autotune feature of another ems I mapped then i'm not a fan. Fuel map ended up looking very spikey in areas not nice and smooth like it would be if I mapped it out manually.

And for that reason........ Im out.

Nice to get feedback from somebody who has had first hand experience.

Was the whole idea of this thread about the Autotune or the EMS ? Autotunes never really work like said. But its not a bad EMS for the money if your a DIY tuner after a bit of fun.

well the thing is i;ve heard verry good things from pug users ... they recon it can get the tune pretty much spot on and only need fine adjusting....

so i dont know and does it get what vtec is ?

Yeah but what is exactly good coming from a peugeot owner ? You could give one a calculator as a ems and they'd be over the moon.

Also you will need to be clued up on engine management and whats going on. Its not as simple as buy it, plug it in, and it will do all the work.... trust me.

Go Ectune, you'll never look back. Where abouts are you from ?

france .... ECtune just on a standard p28 isnt it ?

gotta get me one first im on a wierd number ECU lol b16a2 powaaa

The autotune feature is designed to get your part throttle fuel values correct and then you will manually smooth the map. This isn't because the program is poor, it just needs hands on fine tuning.

The autmapping (also called autotune) is a feature also available on Crome Pro, Neptune RTP, and Hondata...

so do you need to have it on a rolling road to fine tune it ? and could any old joe finish the tune ?

for a turbo build i wouldnt want to cock it up

Id rather map it out manually than playing around with autotune and then still needing to go in and fine tune it after. Some of the higher end standalones such as Vipec have a very impressive autotune in terms of cell interpolation but still I think of it as somewhat lazy mapping and very boring sitting there load holding at various loads/rpm on the Dyno while the software works it's magic:p

You need to take the car to someone who knows what there doing. Your engine would of blew up before the software worked out your fueling (and thats if it did).

A few wise words that the King of tuning Ben Strader said to me the once about engine managment systerm's "A ecu is the dumbest thing you'll ever meet. It will happily destroy your engine without a care in the world". In other words you need to tell it what to do... Wise words...

I think its always good practist to tune part throttle. This is normally the area what i find hardest to get good. WOT pulls are easy to tune out.

Absolutely, if your not tuning part throttle then you shouldn't be tuning at all imo.

learnt alot reading this thread thanks guys..
