I've found a second hand set of Zeta R's, the guy selling them had them fitted to an EK4 and has told me that they will fit my facelift EJ9?!

I've looked on the Meister R website and there's two options for EJ9 coilovers, one that says EG,EH,EJ and another containing EK,EH,EJ?!

My car is a 2000 plate EJ9, so which category does mine fall into?

How do I tell the difference?
Also I know Zeta R's are more track based.. is anyone running them on there daily?

I know I can order different spring rates but I am hoping these will be alright..
I planned to buy new zeta s's but these have come up, i'm just worried if they do fit they'll be a bit stiff for our English roads );

Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks in advance :)

Yes, EK4 coilies will fit EJ9, can't comment on stiffness as I have no first hand experience. If you're changing the springs check with Meister R to make sure the dampers match the new spring rates.

Okay cool, thank you!! :) xx

Yours will fall into the EK category (which has a fork style fitment) so these should fit yours :) I'm running zeta R's on my civic and I personally find them okay for road use, though i've put them more on the softer setting using the adjustment. I found them quite stiff and made the car bounce around when there's a bump on the more stiffer setting. Everyone has different preferences though. Made the car handle much nicer and more direct :)

They will fit straight to your car mate.

The meisterR 's are interchangable between EG and EK as they have spacers that come with the forks to adapt to either.

The spring rates from EG to EK are also the same. I use EG and EK as a general term for 92-95 and 95-01.

Also as you spotted there is a type of EJ made throughout those years. 92-95 was the EJ1 and EJ2, EG shaped Coupe. Where as the EJ9 is the 1.4 hatch 95-01. Two totalt different cars.

They fit and they are comfortable enough for road use,
I actually prefer them over my current cusco suspension tbh.

running zeta R on my ek9, havent messed around with the settings as such and have put them on the softest setting front and rear for daily use, if the road is smooth its good but when theres a few bumps it can be a bit choppy!

Yip straight fit,Ran them on my daily and there fine for road use and the ones I had were running the harder springs

Ye of course you can :) meisterRs are quite popular so somebody will surely want them. Just make sure they're not damaged, leaking etc. You can get C spanners from meisterR to adjust the height if you want to raise/lower the car as mine didn't come with any. The customer service from meisterR is really good too :nice:

Brilliant, Thank you!! :) Are the C spanners expensive? There's some on eBay for around £10, it isn't specified whether they are MeisterR or not though, does this matter? XX

They're £25 from meisterR themselves so not too bad. I'd recommend getting the meisterR ones just to make sure they fit properly since there's different shapes. My bros Tein c spanners wouldn't fit mine as they were too wide spaced. If the collars are stuck use a hammer and a big flathead to hit them loose, worked a treat on mine. If you wanna save cash you could just use this method instead of the c spanners lol
