2)9000rpm
3)195/55/15
4)whp 180 to 190
torque 120lbft to 125lbft
5) what kind of racing/competition do you do?
He said drag and street racing in that post
I would say once again depends.... When it comes to choosing gears to a specific application it can be pointed out what would work best, but in this scenario i will say its all down to preference what gears you choose......
What you think you will enjoy..... When dragging idealy you will want to keep revs up on each gear change, so check out the calculator on the MFactory site to give you a good incite of how each gear set works with each other.....
me = failure at reading...
The rule of thumb is that the smaller the engine displacement, the shorter the gears have to be, provided the engine can rev.
I would stick with the
1.695
1.384
1.000
lol
problem with the 1.000 when using 1.384 in 4th there is a major drop in revs to 5th gear(more so then OEM gearing),
hence my edit at 8:30am to use the 1.130
If you are going with 1800cc, I'd opt to alter the gears a little bit and use the slightly taller setup.
Why is it so hard to get hold of MFactory price`s ? Have been trying for ages now and still no answer I can see the prices on the Homepage but I need the price in the UK and the agent in Britain is not giving me an answer.
Now I found someone in Austria from the DC2 forum who can sell me what I´m looking for.
I have called & written e-mails to DMRR but still no reply, might be on Holiday....who knows. I just wanted a price for the 3 & 4th gearset, he had to find out the cost of it but surely it cant take that long. Never mind, I will just wait.
