Hi all I am a newbie to this website and I drive a 99 ek9 in vsm silver:nice: just recently I have had a b18c-r engine and box from a 98 teg put in running on a harness and standard b18 ecu. The mods currently on the car are:
B18c-r 98spec
4.7 final drive gear box
Jasma stampd 4-2-1 mani (unknown make)
2.5" custom made exhaust with 4" tip (needs changing but sounds awesome)
Skunk 2 inlet 70mm
Hondata inlet gasket
Blox tb 70mm
Aem long arm induction
Ht leads (unknown make)
Meister r zetta s Coilovers

Well that's the mods currently running on the car, before changing the engine the car was perfect on idle not juddering but after the conversion the idle is like missing juddering just a bit but it annoys you:(( the spark plugs and leads have been check but look perfect, checked at the oil cap but no condensation, car doesn't lose coolant at all drove round for hour with heaters on full and on hot, there is no white smoke from tail pipe so really don't know what the problem could be, I have searched on google and other place but no look so if you could :please:help in anyway it would be appreciated

Is this intermittent?
Like one say you'll have it next day it won't?
Only happens when it's cold on first start up?

Thanks for the reply mate, it's always there after starting the car up, it's happening everyday for the past week now and also happens cold or hot

Defo missing? I know those throttle bodies can cause issues with idle.

It's like a juddering feeling like the rev just goes up and down very slowly but can feel it like its missing

If you rev it can you hear it? Usually you can here it miss a cylinder.
Sorry I can't help more mate. Hard to diagnose over the Internet

It doesn't miss while driving fast or slow the pic up there and the car shifts like a b18 should. When you rev up to 2500rpm and hold it there the rev goes back down and up and keeps doing it. You been more then helpfully mate and appreciated for your time

Maybe the dizzy? Mine had a slight missfire caused by this

Are the revs hunting? Going up and down and not settling? If so then its probably your IACV. You can try cleaning it but may need a new one. Same thing happened with mine and I had to replace it. It's located just at the back of the inlet manifold near the throttle body.

Check this thread for cleaning:

Can you outline what work if any was done to engine between been taken out of donor car and fitted to yours?

Hi mate the engine was out of an 98 teg fully functional and before the conversion the timing belt, cam belt and water pump, oil and oil filter was changed the car milage was on 119.000 kmh, I don't know if the iacv was changed or not, thanks for the replys

Double check engine timing. Were the valve clearances done by any chance?

Will get this checked out on Saturday will it be oki to drive the car

Thanks for all thehelp

Hi all got a compression test done on my car today and the results are with the trottle close I was got
1=190psi
2=200psi
3=200psi
4=195psi

And then with the trottle fully open the results are
1=215psi
2=220psi
3=225psi
4=220psi
Are these figures good any help would be much apreciated as I have no knowlege og compressions test the 1st time I've ever come across this

Thanks

Looking online the B18cr usually are around 220 and each cylinder all within a small percentage of each so I'd say you have a healthy engine. If it's hunting when the engines up to temperature that's when the iacv operates so I think it will be this.
