Mother releases footage of the moment her son was killed in motorbike crash.

I agree with the speed difference thing,

For professional accident investigators to decide that the car driver was also at fault they must of had good reason,

They will know better than some person on a forum that's just watched a video!!

Yes it must be hard on the car driver and everyone makes mistakes. At the end of the day the car driver is still alive

I don't dissagree that driver may have been at fault, but if the rider had been doing 60mph this could have been a very different turnout. People make mistakes... 100mph isn't one of them.

Both clearly played a part, they can't prosecute the bike rider for obvious reasons so seems the car drivers got the police attention.

They should have both been more careful imo.
Still sad to see though, first person view of a fatal crash and last few seconds of his life...

Watched this the other day horrific however just reminds u how easily it can happen yeh he was speeding however observation note for the car driver ! Being a bike driver aswel had many a close call but in defence bikes are easily misjudged speed wise or not seen at all :( poor dude paid the ultimate price ...

End of the day you shouldn't be pulling across a lane of traffic unless you know it's completely clear regardless or how fast the bike was going.

Shouldn't make your move unless you can judge you can make it across the path of traffic without causing the other driver to have to alter his speed or course!

Tragic to watch. Just goes to show how a life can go out like a light in a split second. One minute he's riding along, seconds later he's lying dead on a grass verge. Scary & very sobering.

I will say it was partly his own fault for travelling at such speed, but the driver of the car should also have observed much better before pulling out. Shocking.

One reason I stick to cars. I love bikes & I'm a big motogp/superbike fan but simply wouldn't own one due to irresponsible drivers.

Since becoming a Hgv driver(all of 2days lol) I have noticed how stupid a lot of car drivers are, cyclists however are the most retarded people to walk this earth! They have no sense of self preservation and they don't seem to realise they are pretty vunerable on a push bike.

Haha yes, the good old cyclists! They're awful some of them. Weaving between cars and all sorts, running red lights etc :yuno:

I almost got hit by a biker up the rear end yesterday. He was behind me & a long train of cars for a while on a 60mph road, then decided he was going to blast past, opened up the throttle to fly past and a HGV came the other way round a long bend. The biker aborted and hit the brakes pulling in behind me again and almost ploughing into my drivers side brake light. I find some bikers are extremely careless and tend to create a lot of near misses/incidents themselves, a little like the poor bloke in the video contributed to his own demise :(
