Hey guys and girls I picked up my 9 yesterday and there are a couple of electrical issues I would like to get some advice on please.

1. The near side door mirror won't close properly. It keeps making a clicking noise and moving about 1 centimetre before jolting back to being open. Is this a problem with the motor or something?

2. The interior light doesn't go on properly. I turn it on and it is really dim so I have to move the switch between on and off to make it turn on properly. I'm thinking it could be something to do with the switch itself not making proper contact?

3. The dashboard light flickers on and off constantly when I turn the lights on and driving. Is this a dodgey connection? Could it be due to the fact my car has a HID conversion?

Thanks for your help peoples.

1. WD40 is your friend, mine would not move at all when I bought my 9, so I sprayed both mirrors with WD40 and they are both working now.

2. Sounds like a dodgy connection, take it apart and have a look.

3. Have no idea, sorry!

WD40 did the trick mate. Thanks for that. The other two I will tackle tomorrow when I am not at work. I will dismantle it and see whats what lol. :/

i would say 2 and 3 are both dodgy connections. trace your dash wires and check for any breaks/splits/etc.
my interior light used to do the same thing...i tried to bodge the connection to make it stronger, but in the end i had to replace the light. should pick one up pretty easily from a breakers yard
hope this helps a bit

2. Change the bulb

3. Change the bulb

1 was already covered.

The dash light flickered in my car and then completely off. Changed the bulb and it was perfect

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Got day off tomorrow so will have a look then hopefully. :)
