My black 2000 ek9 rx


Love black ek9s, it's so clean if only every civic was treated like this. Mint example, that passenger seat looks new. Fair play man

Unfortunately thought Id be honest and notify my insurance, after 20 minutes of being on hold I was told it is not a modification they allow and that my policy has been cancelled.

Struggling to find insurance now with the engine declared so the car could potentially be up for sale soon :(
 
Good job with the B18C, dont sell up tho! Call your insurance back & tell them it's back to B16B as u couldn't get insured
 
Managed to source reliable insurance through Sky Insurance. So luckily the car is staying. Quick warning to anyone who is insured with Admiral/Elephant etc, check they`re willing to allow engine conversions. Could risk having your policy cancelled immediately!!!

Anyway after a long time contemplating, I decided to scrap the idea of a K conversion for now. Though it is arguably the best engine for accessible gains, couldn't bring myself or my bank balance to forking out the money. So... Stayed B series :nice: ... For now.. Aha

Obviously wasn't expecting a night and day difference between the b16 and 18; but the added torque makes the car so much more useable for spirited drives.

Car received a base map- Vtec now engages at 5k rpm, delivery feels far more linear though lacks the high cam kick of OEM feels far more refined. Launch control :naughty: And a shift light at 8.3k
Massive thanks to DNR/Endless Horizon for the work.

Next mod: A new Rad stay aha.
