Thought i'd better stick up a couple of pics of my EK9

Story behind her is as follows.....

Used to own a Cooper S JCW with a few mods. Coilovers, exhaust, intercooler and alloys

Here are a couple of pics of it before i sold her

The chap who bought the car came to collect her last Sunday. Was a sad moment watching it drive away :((

The next day though, i was on a train to London at 5.30am to pick up the new beastie :D

Arrived at Duncan's local train station about 14.30. Duncan was kind enough to pick me up from the station. Back we went to his for a coffee and to check over the car/paperwork.

I was over the moon with the car and couldnt believe the condition it was in considering it was a 1998. Paintwork was better than my 2005 Mini
:wow:

Finally got around to giving the car a good clean, inside and out at the weekend and thought she deserved a few pics :))

Both cars look stunning especially the eke

How would you rate the copper S?? In terms of handeling, power, mpg etc! My mate is thinking of getting the 07 JCW

looks clean mate. Nice ride

Cheers mate :D

Thanks mate! To be honest i prefer driving the EK9. They are very different cars but the EK feels more raw in terms of feeling what is going on between the car and the road. The mini was a good solid car but had some serious understeer.

The later (facelift) Mini's were terrible. Peugeot engines and prone to timing chain issues. Also handling isnt as sharp as the 2000-2006 model. My advice to your mate is to get a supercharged one and not a turbo'd one. Trust me!!! I've owned both

Duncan is a legend! what a clean ek9 as always, look after her!

what plans you got for it?

Ben

Yeah really nice chap!

Not planning much for it TBH. Already ordered an intake for it. Hopefully get it this week. also ordered some red wheel nuts, and the original gear knob :))

More will probably follow but the plan was to just enjoy the car as it is for a while :drive:

very nice motors!

i had a Cooper S too but hope you're enjoying the Civic now :)

Cheers mate :D
