The CTR headlight that I had bought was broken, so I had opened my USDM headlight and I just change the inside chrome cover. It did not changed the chrome cover for the main light and with the small bulb parking light because, it did not have the bulb light, socket and the harness. I did not remove the cap on the main light

next : I will do it, i will shave my wiper

And yes, it's true, I have gray interior, I will change it or just paint the interior.

I think it's on 2000 Type Rx model WHO CAN CONFIRM this afirmation?
 
thats a sweet ride...... im planing to change the look of my car into a ctr....maybe next year, if i had the money...:D

did you have fogging up problems with your headlight after opening them? I guess if you can reseal them good you can just lightly spray smoke paint on the chrome facial. Good mod! :nice:

Unless you could clean the silicon off and reseal it with the original honda silicon, otherwise the headlights will fog up and eventually get a fxxk up headlights.

Moisture can get in pretty easily eventhough you maintain the original silicon because when you tear silicon apart. When I installed my brand new headlights it was raining and it gets fog up a bit at lower signal portion, but when the moisture is gone then I am good since then. There are moisture in there before I put bulbs in and seal them.

If your silicon has tiny bubles after you remove and reseal, it will keep go in there and out and hence fog up.

I don't have any problem with my headlight, I did this in 2004, so you can understand that the job was correct. I never have a humidity or moisture inside the headlight.

MAny person did this on her car, spray smoke paint on the chrome facial and if you are a really good painter guy you can do the job.

But you know, I prefer always the authentic part of the civic type R, So if I can put the real CTR part, i will do it.

i'm from montreal to and i think it's to mush problem because rhd it's not legal in quebec you need to pass inspection and i think to import rhd car he need to have minimum 15 year :mad:

reel ctr is so great :D

oh i see.... hmm, did you get a chance to put more welds onto the chassis frame? EK9 has more welds everywhere, and have you got the rear sub frame brace? Its the long one behind the rear bumper. I don't know if normal civics can have that fitted on though...

can you tell me where they are other weld becausae i'm a welder and for the normal civic we don't have the brace that you talk and the frame wasn't double like your's but i put a rear ctr sway bar whit the subframe reforcement ASR
ASR - online very good up grade :nice:
and we don't have the long steel tube behind the bumper it's a like the front bumper and it's fixed with bolt
