Comments anyone?

weel your doing good so far, the oem lips were gonna be my 1st suggestion, lol

smaller wheels, 15s or 16 will do

clean up your headlughts, give them a rub down, i e a refresh, sandpaper and polish etc

keep the oem airbox and exhaust, no point killing the consuption when theres no power to be had out of a 1.4

otherwise, youve already lowered it, thats about id want to do to an ej9

The guy i bought it from had a aftermarket intake (DONT KNOW WHY?) does anyone know where i can get the original airbox from?

Until i do my B18 transformation?

Nice car, what motor are you going to use?

if you want grounded suggestions you have to tell us what your budget is!

Well i basically want replacement parts for now until i decide to put the B18 motor on the inside, probably next year when my insurance wont be as expensive.

I need an original air intake box because person i bought the car from idiotically put an aftermarket intake an that tiny engine.

I also need Eyelids/Eyebrows

can you post a picture of the engine bay? I wouldn't use the stock airbox. It is very restrictive and the resonator box is only there for sound reduction. Imagine that you notice significant changes in low and mid revs when you put away the resonator with just a bigger intake tube and an aftermarket panel filter.

i dont see whys its idiotic to put a big intake on this engine.
i think its idiotic putting eyelids/eyebrows on not say ur an idiot just incase u get the wrong idea :secret:

Looking good mate! Liking the colour! The oem lips will transform it!

I realise that the british tuner scene is really against the use of eyelids! lol

But i just find that by puttin and "BIG" intake on this engine in not a good idea without other parts to compliment it i.e. exhaust system. well im always open to suggestions, no hard feeling, we are all here to learn :D:D:D

It's not so much the British tuner scene pal, just a lot of the Honda enthusiasts and EK9 purists prefer the look of EK9 lights without the eye lids. Plus the whole eyelid thing has been adopted by idiots driving Corsa's, Punto's etc.....

You are right though, it is big in Japan, see it a lot on Skylines, Evo's etc... I think you just have to be careful, in some cases they can look really good, such as on the Jun Auto EK9! But in others, they just look a bit out of place.

And yep, if the engine is completely stock, more than likely you will loose power by changing the standard airbox for a huge intake....

The oem type r lip is always a good choice! But if you fancy something different, or even a Carbon fibre lip, I'd go with a Mugen or Spoon one, plenty of replicas out there too! I've got a carbon fibre Mugen one on mine, makes the front end so much more aggresive! Also I'd invest in an EK9 grill :)

I checked out Funky Power and Ebay for lips and thats where my searching ended, anywhere else that i should look as i am new to the uk.

The prices are not really bad for the OEM typer r lip, but thanks for the help mate.
