My EJ9 Totalled by a truck on the M11.. :(

the police said that MAYBE he could be flashed by another lorry to switch lanes as thats how they communicate, and that even though that could be the case, he didnt check his "special mirror" for his blind spots.. guilty and admitted it! although that would make no difference to the fact that we could have died!

ty man, im not gonna lie i am developing a lot of neck/shoulder/arm pains now! and the occasional spine/back pain..

to be honest, i thought i was opening a thread to something A LOT worse! I am so glad i didnt!!!
That is one LUCKY LUCKY escape! Not just that the lorry spun you, the fact the lorry hit you again and nothing behind use hit you AGAIN!!!! Spun into the fast lane is UNTHINKABLE!!!
Like said its metal, you and your mum are priority! I hope he gets the book thrown at him!!! Good luck with the recovery to you both and replacing the metal soon i hope!

Yeah.. to be honest, i though of every possible way this could have lead to something a LOT worse.. car flipping over? maybe end up in the opposite direction lane? Have a much harder impact to my drivers side from the truck as i was spinning? There are so many ways it could have ended up a lot worse.. and obviously spinning into the fast lane was AWFUL! Come to think of it, it was actually really lucky to not have anybody else hit us from the fast lane.. although about 100m behind us.. 4-5 cars or so collided due to heavy breaking and I think 1-2 were written off, and most importantly nobody was severely injured in those accidents too.. you can see the two really minor ones in the picture showing the distance we spun etc etc.. im so glad it all ended in the best/luckiest way possible..
I couldn't agree more with the priority part, which is all i care about really.. replacing the metal is a matter of time until i get payed out and find a new stock black ej9 base.. which will hopefully last me a lot longer than my "current"? one did.. as much as I always try to be very careful, this incident just proves its just not always dependent on how careful you are as a driver.. but sometimes its something you just CANNOT prevent..
I hope nobody has to experience the horror!
Quick Update guys.. recently seen the state of the car at the garage they're holding her at before they crush her into a little tin box.. here's how she stands, and sorry for the dark pictures!

and one final picture of the quick Polish attempt on my hood, with spray-on wax as a test.. i didnt have time to take pictures of my FULL wash-polish-carnauba wax that i done 1 day before the crash.. but yeah(
I hope to replace her with something as beautiful and carry out the plans/dreams on the replacement instead

thank you mate, slight pains developing now around my upper body/neck area etc.. oh and I have a weird fear of trucks now.. on the way back from hospital, it was actually so intimidating to go past trucks on the motorway again..
Near me (Leeds) there in process of making the outter two lanes thinner so it can be very intimidating next to lorries on motorway, specially on bad weather when they swaying about.
And like everyone has said glad to see you both unharmed, seen way too many pictures off civics totally crushed in crashes on Internet
Wow man i really think they shouldn't even mess with the sizes of lanes on motorways.. i mean, if a lorry was to cause an accident, it will somehow but might as well not raise the chances by making the other lanes thinner!
