my ek3 build

Nt the most exciting update in the world but hey!!

Cleaned the inside today coz i was sick of seeing food and **** inbetween the seats. Thought id do it properley so i took the seats out and the middle pastics. This was after a hoover lol

I took the the carpet out and cleaned all underneath and then thought i may aswel rip the sound deadenning out while im at it.

Took all the front out and the big bits behind the seats. 3 plastic bags full weighed in at 16 pounds. Wacked the plastics and carpet back in and thought i may aswel strip the rear out. Got the seats and carpet out, just need to finish the sound deadening off. The rear bench, brackets and belt weighed in at about 2.5 stone. So o everall iv taken over 3stone out which isnt too bad!

Dude this is a real awesome build, gonna be doing similar mods to mine when i get the ek. Quick question though, what's this blue bar that slots inside the coilys?

They are the lower control arms (LCA's)

:clap:wow my car is that colour except a facelift, but this really does give alot of inspiration, well done on your build mate looks smart.

cheers mate, wish mine was a facelift lol

retrimmed my doorcards a couple of weeks ago in a black suedey material.

I was happy with them at first but little things started to annoy me! so i bought some ek9 ones. Much better coz the red is alot more interesting and the material is also alot tougher than the one i used.

With me buying the doorcards i new the rear seats would need sorting out. So got myself a dc2 rear bench. Bit of a pain in the arse swapping the material over and all that, but well worth it in the end. Much nicer for passengers, i just hope when ppl are pissed in the back of my car they dont get ruined :(

got a lil bit of paint on the rubber seal and the bleed nipple but i think im going to rebuild them with a boot kit anyway.

Colourcoding has been done and a few other bits aswel :)was more expensive than i thought it would be but well worth it.

So i have had the front grill and lip colourcoded, rear bumper completely resprayed as some of the laquer was pealing and both door panels had some small scratches removed.

Pics are a bit **** but il get some proper ones on sunday when i have cleaned the car and all the wheels proper.
