I thought i would post a few pics up of my ek9, i have had the car for a few months now but have been in 2 minds weather to sell it or not as i dont have the money to sva it at the minute, but everytime i get it out to wash ect i fall in love with it again. I think i am just going to wait till june when it becomes 10 years old so i only need to mot it. The car was very dirty when it was delivered and as you can see from the pics i went a bit ott in the cleaning process lol hope you like the pics. jon

Thanks vtec, the only standard part i need for the esva is the exhaust. I am just wondering if it is worth forking out the 1k+ for the esva when in 6 months it will be 10 and wont need one. I am deffo getting rid of the starlet even though i love it to bits it is just too small. Where abouts are you mate as i live in sunderland? cheers jon

jon could you please explain to me what you did? if you are thinking of sva then it is still not registered right? so you bought the car, paid the auction price and costs and just paid customs right? in other words it is still not road legal?

yeah it is not sva'd at the minute, so not street legal. But thanks to vtec i have decided to deffo keep it. I bought the car from autoadvan paid for the car, shipping and customs charges and delivery to my home. Then have been doing the conversions ready for the sva eg speedo conversion, put a new cd player in it. And am in the process of fitting rear fog light which i am going to wire into the original light cluster. I am having a cat 2 immobiliser fitted on the 3rd of jan which will be upgtaded to cat 1 when funds allow, and get a fuel neck restrictor then it will be off for the esva :)

jon how much did you pay for it? I mean without registration. I am trying to do the same thing, get an ek9 and build it for the track not for the streets. however I am finding it extremely difficult to avoid certain law issues.

up to now it has cost about £4500 for the car including shipping and import tax

its nice to know your keeping the car now mate and getting things sorted to get it on the road and to a few of our local meets

Thanks mate i can't wait to get it on the road as well, hopefully it should be ready by feb.

Well i have just bought a few new parts for the civic, i bought a Sard induction kit, some jbl speakers components up front and some jbl 6x9's for the rear. And last night bought some jdm concept reservoir covers from australia. Induction kit has been shipped today from japan so should be here in the next few days.

Well my sard induction kit arrived today, or should i say i had to go and pick it up and pay £24.50 for the privelage :( I am really happy with the kit, the filter is quiet big and looks good quality :nice: also my jdm concept reservoir covers also arrived. Anyway i quickly fitted them tonight just before it started to rain. I can now start to make some templates for my cold air box.

Yeah i thought it was strange to use some of the original air box as well, but once the rain stops i can start making up a template for my cold air box and hard pipes :D
