As you may know, my ek9 is not a daily drive car, and I'll soon install skunk2 pro 1 camshafts.
Last time I went to the dyno, the car made 170 whp with the following mods:
1. DC2 Mugen Intake.
2. Hytech Replica Header
3. No cat, custom light weight 2.5" exhaust with oem ek9 muffler.
The oem muffler weights about 15 - 20 pounds so I wanted something lighter and a "free flow" type muffler, like the apexi n1.
Since I don't use my car as a daily drive, I don't care about the sound hehe, so I decided to get a apexi n1 replica muffler, paid like 40$ for it lol!
Photos:
The muffler, 2.5 inlet - 2.5 outlet - 4" tip with silencer.
Free flow FTW.
This muffler weights around 5 pounds
Installed pics:
I'm happy with the exhaust, it is loud when vtec comes in, but if I shift before 4000 RPM it sounds very nice
Now I need a Hondata re-tune, my 170 whp map is useless now..... Hope to tune with the skunk2 pro 1 cams installed soon! hehe.
If you guys want I can add a on board video some time in the near future
