Hey lads, I took this as a part ex for my Dc5 last sunday. It is absolutely mint, and I love it, cause of its rarity and its heritage.. No power steering takes a bit of getting used to after an ek9, 3 dc2's, 2 dc5's and some da's and ef's for good measure..

I'll try get some pics up of my old motors, but its been years since a honda stirred my blood like this one.. I dont know what I'm doing with it yet, but have lots of idea's..

And a few of it when leaving Japan

The wheels look much better in person, but as much as I love them they are not practical. It seems a step in the wrong direction after all the weight saving.. They are 8 inches wide at the back.. :D So may get some uber light 15's, and would like a pair of light seats with harnesses to start. I have a hondata s300 from my track car, so that may get used pretty soon too, and a twister decat, as the cat is still in it.

As it stands now, this is the spec;

Enkei Racing S 3 Piece 16's

Bridgestone potenza tyres like new

Spoon Carbon Fibre Bonnet & Mirrors

5zigen Jasma Stamped 4-2-1 Mani

Spoon N1 Catback (sounds really well)

J's Racing Ind Kit

NGK Leads

Oil Catch Tank & Baffled Sump

Integra rad

Nardi Steering Wheel

Rear Stripped Out

Spoon Resevoir Socks

Sparco Pedals

Impul Gearknob

Brand new Double Din Touchscreen (for a bit of luxury)

Ek9 Spoiler with Tilt Brackets (3 settings)

Mini Wire Tuck

Only 56000km on this car, and documents from Japan like import sheet and logbook came with it.. Its sick clean, its beyond belief.

Only flaw is the wings were rolled in Japan, and its not a great job, and I'm fussy so will get them done. It came in without the rollcage, and I'm left with two holes in the dash, so may get a cage, or I've a spare dash too so not so bad...

Anyways, thats it for now, will get more up soon... Comments and Criticism welcome..!

:naughty:

great rare piece:wow:

just switch up the rims (they looks fantastic) and put the larger one on the front...

you should have a light grey dash, so it is the same you can find in ej9 ek3... so no big deal in swapping it

only 56000 km :wow: not many cars this age with that kind of km's done, looks really clean but i not really liken the wheels, health to enjoy :nice:

Thanks lads.. Ya the first pic captures how the wheels may look in person, they certainly look like stink on the japan pics..

But ya, as much as I love them, i want light 15's, will look better, and the steering wont be as heavy, and it will go better so its a win win to change them.. The wide 16's make steering a serious workout..

Thanks for comments lads, overall I'm psyched with this little Honda.. Its no slouch for a standard car, it surprised me..

that car is ripe for a cage! looks minty fresh too!

Neo`s old Racebase.. Some more pictures of it here actually that I had bookmarked for a while when Bryan bought it . . . Georgeef9

looks like a wee belter mate, defo a rare sight especially with the milage :wow: I actually like the enkei's on it, looks sweet :nice:

Those wheels will fetch a nice price for your planned 15's :)

ive got no power steering in mine atm, and its a pain to drive! gonna have it put back in, apprantly no power steering is mot failure?

They dont usually check tbh..and most dont even know if the car had power steering or not as older model cars (not just civics) didnt have power steering

Id imagine how hard it would be man!

Adding power steering seems so wrong tho!
Could go electric I guess instead of crank power. Easier to install too....if you are interested [PM me]as I am doing a write up on one now: electric hydraulic power steering.

That is a real good buy silly low mileage, Keep us updated on your progress

Very nice little car there mate , rare and welll low KMs . Nice find :nice:

Looks sweet, but would look 10x better with out the spoiler tilt:nice:

Cheers lads, sound bunch... Ya I'm chuffed with it.. Missus isn't too happy to see a stripped out ek9 in the yard, she doesn't get it at all.. She wouldnt get in any of my hondas, which means i dont need the passo seat either..

And her audi is there to take our 4 month old so winning...!!!

Cheers Gav, like the wheels myself but too big.. I got half way through your thread on your car, unreal, love the carbon.. Remember that car for sale over here, some bus.

Ya the spoiler is odd alright, it has 3 settings, but i couldnt find an alan key small enough to adjust it.. Thats the middle setting, looks horrible in the higher one, so its the lowest one for me too. Will get a pic up of it dropped when i can..

I took this ek9 and a b18 ek4 with nice goodies for my DC5.. So going breaking the ek4, and undecided on the plan for the 9 yet.. I am tempted to throw it on pistonheads to see what interest it gets, before i go spending money on it.. If i go spending money on it its a keeper, as Im not loosing money on anymore cars.. Simples.. It will be a poject, and garaged.. Needs wheels, coilovers and a few bits before id take it for a run on the track.. But that would be home to this little car..

I have a b18, an s80 with 4.7 and 1.5 way and a hondata s300 that I'm tempted to put in it, but thinking it should be kept original..! What do ye think..? I think its too clean and would take from the originality of the car.. Comments welcome..!!!!

can someone educate me to what so rare about it please as im new to all this
