I've just swapped over to TODA from 5zigen. They both sure look different! the primary and secondary pipes are sure bigger on the TODA. Both have 2.5" collector yet the TODA collector is quite long in length.

Result is very good! TODA seems to work better with my SPOON ECU. I dont get much of that powerdip within 5000-6000rpm, as if its almost gone. Top end really comes alive, and sounds more tough and growly cruising around 3000rpm+.

The pipe size diameter was spot on using my digital caliper.

TODA
45mm primary
48mm secondary
60mm collector

I also measured my 5zigen and found some interesting sizes.

5zigen
42mm primary
50mm secondary
54mm-65mm collector

The 5zigen collector is a flared design and the widest point measured out 65.32mm or 2.59". I'm not sure if this header was made for the B16 or B18 but the collector measured out bigger than the TODA at widest point.

Weight of TODA header is 5.3kgs

Overall I recommend the extra $$ for the better quality TODA especially if your currency exchange vs YEN is good. Nowadays it seems quite far fetched. Luckily I had this pre-ordered before the recession.

This header has shown that it responds very well with uprated cams. In 1 local case, a b16a had TODA C cams and JDM 4-1 header. With just the header swapped over to TODA, it was shown to gain an extra 15whp after tuning.

highly recommended.

WOW

That TODA looks ***.

I was hoping you was going to day you did not notice any difference, as I was going to buy a 5zigen.

How much do these TODA retail at then?

nice toda:)

but comparison wise, i'm not sure you can really compare a damaged manifold to a perfect one,
those to squashed bits would have a affect on the performance of the 5zigen,
how did it happen?

What model was the 5zigen '98 spec dc2 one? Looks nice that fair play!

Just noticed the dints :(

Is this common when the car is lowered?

its common to squash a 4-1 on a lowered car, but to dent a 4-2-1 that far up seems strange to me,

5zigens dont hang low at all.

It's for ek9.

The difference is that the final part of the header is in that way / while the DC2's is in that way __

Tnx for the pics....but no comparing dynosheets?

Yeah bc I have the dc2 model on my EG6 and it seem dif from mine this one's.

This is my Toda header:

true, thats why I didnt say much about the differences. But the fact is that the TODA 4-2-1 is design with the performance of TODA's 4-1 header with only the loss of 1.5% and 15% gain of torque below VTEC. This means it has the performance of a 4-1 header without the loss of bottom end.

The design of the headers are different everywhere. The only headers that were tested better than the TODA were;

SMSP
Hytech

So for now, TODA is in the top 3. 5zigen somewhere in the middle of many many other brands.

My headers were bought off a crashed car by previous owner. I'm glad I've finally replaced it. :D

This header is for the EK9 B16B specific. It is Ver2. Ver1 with the racing look is extinct and isnt as strong as ver2. Ver 2 is strengthen.

B16B Ø45mm → Ø48mm → Ø55mm → Taper → Ø60mm
B18C Ø45mm → Ø50mm → Ø55mm → Taper → Ø60mm

The only difference is 2mm on the secondaries. Must have made a quite a bit of difference for toda to spend more money for 2mm.

Seems similar and cant really notice anything diff. EG6 and DC2 have the same chassis but different from the 9. Probally is a bit diff. :nice:

Nice to see another TODA! :)
