Hi EK9.org, I'd like to share my story with this car...

I got the car in 2008 with some engine problems, but it was a good shell, suspension was fine, and the price was right..

This is how it looked like:

Then after some time, I got a cracked head gasket, and decided to do the job myself, and even though I had very little knowledge it came up fine :nice:

Then **** happened... A lower ball joint colapsed while I was going 30mph and that ruined my right fender.. BUT, The part wasn't in stock in my local dealer, so I left the car in the middle of the street for 3 days, and some assholes scratched all the left side of the car..

But then I decided on doing a complete rebuild of the car, and started by rebuilding the motor, using one STROKER KIT I got of Ebay, but I was scammed, and the crank was bad... I decided to give it a go and grounded the crank to .50mm undersized, and assembled the engine:

Some BLOX Valvesprings and KMS Chromoly retainers, not the best arround, but on a .50mm crank, I'm not gonna rev past 8200, so ****'s fine!

But ONCE AGAIN I GOT SCREWED..

THe machine shop f*cked my block up... THey grounded the mains too high, so I had to cut the pistons 1mm to fit, and had to remove the dowels from the oil pump, block cap, and transmission!!

But anyway, I had to assemble the engine that way, I had no choice, machine shops here are garbage, and they never take responsibility for what they do..

Anyways, degreed the motor:

new injectors:

Siemens Deka 750cc low impedance.

Then assembled everything in 2 days, and popped some Skunk2 coilovers on the car, and went to my firs trackday:

The car ran GREAT, but the clutch blew in a million pieces, I blame it on the transmission alignment, or lack of it..

So... Right after the event I went to the US to study for 6 months, aaaand to buy some goodies..

brake pads:

Some better shocks:

And a B20 for a future project, and a K24 for a friend...

Also made the machine work in Miami, at Mesa Balancing, awesome place!

Then... It was time to disassemble everything for the new parts to come in..

But for that, we rented a small place...

So take tranny of, to remove the blown clutch and replace the main seal

So I had to Pop the transmission open, no big deal, and it was kinda easy for a first time..

Here you can see that the synchro is completely gone

MEANWHILE, I aquired a new EK4 chassi with full suspension, steering rack and some interior parts, and this will be built for a top speed purpose...

Hopefully It'll break 200mph

So back to the green one:

Interior done, and CarPC installed.. It's kind of a rice thing for a trackday car with no AC, heater, or even blower, but it's good to run my EMS and datalog, as well as a GPS software to get track times, partials, etc

So I replaced the seal, and took the pan off to remove the stupid pink paint

So I fixed the tranny, with parts that came of a severly blown transmission, got the clutch rebuilt, and put everything in the car

I should be finishing the suspension this week, then I'll make the exaust fit the Bisi header, and I should be good to go..

THe car needs bodywork, but I have an event to attend on december 26th, so it will have to wait..

TO BE CONTD..

Thanks everybody

wow, shame about the wheel and the dicks that scratched it but atleast your cars looking good now :nice:

im looking forward to seeing more of this, keep posting :)

you definately havent hadnt had the best of luck with your car m8 :( but all good things come to those who wait :) looks like your new engine plans look to be taking shape :)

a lot of work my friend !
your brake cold air feeds look sweet !

It´s been a while since I´ve made this tread but lets go on:

I re-assembled the stroker engine one more time with new bearings, hoping that it would stay toghether for some time...

It made very decent power, 196 to the wheels with STOCK TB, lot more was to come with a bigger one but after one more trackday the engine turned out into a big pile of useless metal parts...

BUT, I didn´t give up, I just decided to go a whole different route... The new engine is a boosted F22A1, looking to make no more than 300 bhp..

The tranny is being rebuilt with a Synchrotech LSD and all new carbon synchros.

I have done work in the shell also.. The interior was fully painted with the stock G82P, the headliner is now black, and I got a FIA certified Sparco seat

Got a carbon kevlar trunk too, for very cheap, and it looks cool.

got the paint fixed and it should be moving next month

Pics later tonight
