Engine update: (finally!!)

Was down at the workshop todat and got alot of stuff done which I'm really happy about

Firstly welded in the baffle plates into the sump:

An a few of the block all built up:

One of the block and head nailed together:

And finally one of the cams and shizzle:

C+C as usual

Had a few hours on the car tonight after work tonight an managed to get a few niggly little bits sorted and generally managed to tidy the interior up a little bit..

This is kinda how the rear will look now, maybe tidy and tuck a few wires but thats it:

The front, both harnesses now fitted and bit of a general tidy up:

Also got the DC2 rad mock mounted an welded the bottom brackets in place

Should have some new fancy parts this week

Skunk2 cam gears:

Cam gears fitted

Also fitted new cam seals, sump gasket and some of the ancillary brackets...also fitted the oil sandwich plate too

Will get more pics as I go on

Had a progressive day on the car today with a mega early start

Old motor out:

This is after I took some of the bits of it

AEM fuel rail and reg fitted:

Covers all fitted and trimmed to suit the cam gears:

Gearbox fitted and all other ancillaries, pretty much ready to go back in

And the biggest shout goes out to my little helper of the day who has caused havoc and been a little terror all day long!

He only gets away with it 'cos he is cute
