Hi guys, just want to know what you all think of this jordan and how much you would be willing to pay for it. It's a great car, got some nice modifications on it. I know it's been looked after as i've followed the build up on civicjordan.co.uk

Honda : civic jordan 428/500 modified

He mentioned it had the odd car park ding here and there, signs of surace rust have appeared on the rear arch and abit on the front passenger wing. Its up for 4k and the lowest he is willing to go is £3900. Worth it?? I'd be happy paying 3600-700 but not sure if I should stretch out to £3900.

I'd deal at £3800 :D

full service history and its just had a big service, so engine wise your laughing :nice:

Ask for detailed pics of the dings and rust to get a better idea :nice:

Cheers for the input bud! Yep already got detailed pics of the rust, dings etc. would probably cost a few hundred to get the bodywork up tp scratch. I've made him an offer of £3700 so i'll see how it goes :nice:

nice one good luck, keep us posted :nice:

Seems like a decent car, still say Jordans prices are pumped up for no reason, i'd deal at £3500 max.

Needs an OEM grill as that one looks very bad fitment.

being a jordan owner myself and knowing this car i would pay £3800 for it any day of the week! Its been really well looked after and at £380 ur not losing any money.

£4000 is entering EK9 money

EK9 = possibly rust free/lighter/stiffer/more power/better brakes/better interior/more appeal/holds value etc......

Unless your buying the Jordan as your too young to insure an EK9 I think the little extra money for an EK9 is well worth the money.

I like the Jordan, definately looks as if its been well looked after, some nice mods and most importantly a good service history :nice: Price wise £3800 is good by my book :)

Barryl85 i get what you mean how Jordan's can be a bit pricey and with a bit extra money you could get an alright 9. Although Jordan's are completely different to ek9's and other vti's. There can be an appeal in Jordan's that the other's don't have. It's a limited edition car, which keeps the price up and there is a lot of Jordan owners who i know who love them more than a 9. They hold there value if kept well and a rare car is something else to value

I can relate to what you were saying but for this to make sense you would have to keep the car relatively stock. Most owners buy a Jordan and make it look like an EK9 or just change it anyway for the sake of modifying.

At the end of the day all a Jordan is - is a sticker, a diff set of wheels and an interior (could say colour but its the same as a yellow 9)

Everything else can be found on other honda varients.

I dont mean to be so blunt about it and hope no jordan owners think i'm being harsh or bringing down their car because thats not what i'm doing - I like Jordans just think the value they hold is rediculous.

The VTi-S is an even rarer EK4 as less was made and it does not hold its value like the Jordan. (maybe the rover MB6 shaped VTi-S's ruined the appeal)

I understand that it can seem silly that they hold so much value, but its all down to it being a limited edition car, a collectors item and a lot of Jordan owner's see them as a honda enthusiast's car. I went down to Japfest this year with the Jordan owners and they all loved there cars. Although i'm a 9 guy :D A lot of them were kept standard and that's the way they liked them. The ones that are modified look good too and as long as they keep original parts it can be returned to standard sold relatively easily.

I completely agree that buying a jordan and keeping it standard to hold its value is not the way to go about enjoying your car (unless you prefer the car standard).

It's really all about what each person thinks is value for money and if they think the price is good then that's for them to decide. I had a ek4 vti-s and only managed to get 2500 for it but not to bothered. Hope u get it mate and ur happy with it :)

think 4k is bit steep
maybe 3400 - 3600 is bit better but still steep but i am tight lol

I wouldn't pay any more than £3000

Mainly because it's just a VTi in yellow with silly seats

so it wont be worth any more value when there are none of these left??
And silly yellow seats?? id prefere them over std vti cloth seats tbh

I'd love to own an ek9 or dc2 but can't get insured on either as i'm only 19 and live at a postcode which isn't really friendly with insurance companies. I own an ek3 atm so a vti would be a good upgrade to what I have now and the plan is to keep it for 2 years and hopefully then buy a dc2 or ek9. The reason i've decided to go for a jordan is because I love the colour and the rareness of the car.

Anyhu, i've managed to bring the price down to £3850. What i've decided to do is leave him with the offer of £3700 I don't really want to pay more than that.

Finally agreed on a price, £3750 and a full tank off petrol :D going to view the car next week. If it's as described i'll be buying it :nerv: Already have plans for the car but I really shouldn't get carried away until I get the car.

Best of luck. Hope its all in good nick when you go see it and you take it away with you :D Price is good too :nice:
