Hey dudes, what's up?

I now sadly believe that my suspension is shot or very close to it:((. I'm gonna take it to the mechanic to have it checked but will be expectin some bad news. I mean.....the suspension has been basically this rough when I got the car but it feels too rough now. The roads here are terrible and no suspension have been changed since the car was bought i.e. I'm the third owner and the second owner had it for 5 yrs and didn't change anything.

Besides, my bump stops have been crushed and have fallen out.
I like the stock suspension look and want to get the stock suspension for the EK9 but don't know where to get brand new ones or if they still make new ones.

Does anyone know where I could get new shocks for the EK9?......OR, if the stock ones aren't available, what aftermarket brand and model would be closest to the stock ones.

Thank you,
ReVHard.....

Yup should be able to get from honda!

Alternatively look into the Spoon fixed dampers/progressive spring setup, Tmus upgraded to this at some point and did a review on them, apparantly a worthwhile upgrade, only lowering the car a smidge but firming up handling a fair bit :nice:

But my local honda dealer doesn't bring the Type-r model, never has and probably never will!......they only brought the SIR in the EK model and I'm not sure if the shock setup is the same for both vehicles......I kinda doubt they're the same....

Make some other checks...
The I had changed my rear suspension set up on my 1996 - 4 door SiR sedan bottom arms and shocks from a 97 Integra DC2....so check acura for type R shockes for the teggy...

Just give your honda dealer the chassis number of your car and get them to check the computer catalogue....

I have had no problems with getting any parts here in Scotland, they usually have to order the parts from either the hub in Belgium or direct from Japan ;)

thinking of getting some cusco coilovers for my dc2 there ment for an ek9, need to change the lca's.
is this a good idea, will it handle right as there ment for a hatch back or does it not matter???
