newbie from ayrshire


sorry not been on , yeah everyone is ok thanks just bit sore:( car is write off but i still have it , possibly goin to lose license so dont know what to do with it :(

GIBB - as the driver you hit on friday night I can honestly say I am glad you are ok, my friend told me you asked if myself and 2 yr old daughter (who was in the car with me) were ok, and i thank you for that! As there was about 8 boys round your car that night and when i approached i got a barrage of abuse as i overheard 1 of them say every1 in the accident was ok, while my daughter was still in the back of an ambulance! when i told them we didnt yet know if the 2 yr old was ok i was told "is that my F****G problem?" disgusting! (and I am not even sure you knew them or not)

my car is also looking like its written off! i have leg, neck,back,hip,head & chest injuries and have been signed off work as I'm a nurse I need all my limbs working.

the reason I am posting is not to give you a hard time but to say I'm glad we all walked away as it could have ended so differently.

I hope every1 will take a minute and think before they get behind the wheel. the person you could hit could be like me, just innocently driving home from a friends with their baby in the back.

I love my cars too, don't get me wrong, but there is a time and a place.

hi there , yeah thanks im glad yous are ok to , i did ask for yous straight away but as your car was further down the road a got told not to run down see yous for some reason. i dont know who said that but i hope it wasnt one of my friends as its out of order , im not disrespectful like that and hope they werent!
yeah im glad we all walked away , my car was feet from the head on crash and that would have killed us , i just avoided it but could not miss you and im sorry for that.
yeah it was just the dip that caught me out , aww well we are all ok thats main thing , i am now cyclin everywhere , big step down from a 9 :O
 
Yes I know, 1st I saw u was in my drivers wing mirror about to overtake me, then I looked up and saw the car coming towards us, last I saw u was in my interior mirror before u hit the back of me, my 2 yr old has some chest an back injuries but all to be expected I suppose being hit at speed, I think my friend told u not to come down as she thought I myt hav injured u lol as u say had u hit the car head on we wud all probably b dead as I was ryt at the side, an also if u had hit me more to the right I wud hav spun, police also said I'm lucky my car nvr went on fire as my battery is housed in the boot which is now non existent! So it was burst open, cells exposed, still connected & burning away as it was dragged down the road. All what ifs. I'm going to ask how fast u were going? I know u myt not answer lol but I'd like to know from u honestly rather than the speed I was given by the police? However I do understand if u don't answer! I know how fast it looked in my mirrors.
I don't hold grudges, of course I'm annoyed, my baby was in the car an is injured as a result as am I, but we r all alive! My friend said u seemed genuine at the scene, however I have to say I am dissappointed that out of all the ppl around ur car no1 walked the half mile down to c me an my daughter were ok, I understand u not doing it as my friend asked u to stay away, but there were other boys there that cud hav! And when I left my baby in an ambulance to come an spk to u I was given that abuse, and nvr got to spk to u, anyway I hope when ur behind the wheel again it's a bit slower. As I said glad ur ok.
 
This seems like it was a serious one glad everyone is ok ESSPECIALLY the 2yr old little girl,we all wish you guys a speedy recovery :)

hi no lol I've got/had a BMW 1 series coupe, i love cars so does my husband and he is on a few forums, I just wanted to make sure the other driver was ok and we thought having the type of car he did, he wud be on a forum. so I only joined when i saw the posts re the accident this morning as I wanted to know he was ok and assumed he wud want to know we were. you cud say im a forum gate crasher lol anyway as i said I just wanted to know he was ok and my hubby suggested trying the forums an we found him. thanx for ur well wishes.
 
i think the main thing to take from this gibb is that theres a time and a place for eveything fast driving fro the track and sensible for the roads. yes we were all young at one point and trust me i almost sent me evo into the ditch once or twice haha As long as everyone is ok especially the two year old thats the main thing and wish yosu all a speedy recovery

again thanx for well wishes, wee one has the drs again 2mo, anyway I shall leave ur forum in peace now just wanted to make sure the other driver was ok as i said the only reason i joined. lol
