Hi guys, iv not long just got myself my first civic :) started of with old fords. My first car was a mk2 fiesta which i ended up fitting with a 1.8 16v zetec engine with twin 40's, next up i had a mk4 escort which i fitted a 2l 16v zetec with a single twin choke carb :) both setups worked well but then the shells started to get rusty :( i now have a 1997 ek4 vti. It came with a bucket seat already fitted along with, carbon front splitter, some cheap nasty alloys, induction kit ,apexi lowering springs and cat back powerflow exhaust. I have recently fitted new numberplates and some rota gt3's but im not going to use these through the winter. Plans are to change the tacky projector lights with some ek9'd standards i have and just generally tidy her up a bit. Im needing a new headlight wiring loom though due to the previous owner bodging the headlight on. Heres some pics of my old cars and the civic...

Nice! Love the MK2 Fiesta, that must have been quite nippy with the zetec under the bonnet! Anyway, welcome to the forum!

welcome to the forum dude! Mk2 fiesta was nice, sounds like a good couple of set ups ;)

My dad used to have Rover 800 Vitesse with numberplate starting G777

looks like a big change from the Ford's to the Honda bit of a learning curve no doubt but looks like you know your way round a spanner.

Welcome to the club!

Cheers for the warm welcome guys!

The fiesta was a great wee car, sounded fantastic and went pretty well!the escort wa better setup and was quicker. Yeah its a bit of a change driving the old fords compared to the honda, i bought the car with the intensions of it being a sensible car but im kinda getting hooked :)Im really impressed with how well it drives and its pretty quick for a 1.6,can see myself either doing an engine change with this or getting a ep3 or dc2 next.

Cheers

Welcome to the forums mate :D

Some nice looking fords you have there, how do you find the 4 compared to them?

Welcome to the forum! Any chance your gonna keep up your work and stick a B18 in this one? ;)

I would say that the escort would be quicker of the mark, it had really good throttle response and would pull from low down in any gear, but I'm really impressed at how well the civic pulls once it hits vtec!:) considering its still pretty standard. If i plan on keeping the car for a while then yeah, maybe throw a different engine in, already been pricing up b18's and b20 conversions. Its all still new to me atm so just going to keep researching and hopefully find my way around the hondas :)

Cheers guys
