Hi fellas,

Does anyone heard about stock ECU Chipping @ mods ??Or could somebody may volunteered to share the info a little bit ???I just want to reconfirm what I've been trough.

As far as I know, ( correct me if I'm wrong ), the Stock ECU model which is above 96yrs,They will probably cannot do the ECU chipping, where as they have to use harness converter from OBD2 to OBD1

OBD2 = 96yrs model & above ( cannot do stock ECU chipping @ mods )
OBD1 = 95yrs model & below ( can do stock ECU chipping @ mods )

Please see the linkage below for further clarification. Hopefully, I can get others opinion or I've gone too far away @ LOST:angry2:

you have the right idea, keep in mind there is obd2a and obd2b this is important when you get a jumper to the obd1. chipping is an excellent inexpensive alternative to aftermarket ecu, though not as good its A LOT cheaper :nice: check out www.phearable.net for more info and BETTER prices than hondata.

Thanks so much, mate.It's brilliant inputs & appreciated that..now I'm on the right path..:D

I had a www.phearable.net ecu, my car is a 99 ek9 so I had to buy a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness, with the stock motor I was able to be half a second faster in the 1/8 mile, so for the money is the best ecu you can :)

hi the obd1 ecu does it have to be a specific ecu out from a honda model or any honda obd1 ecu thanks mate:)

If your car is a USDM one you can use a p28 ecu, if your car is JDM one you'll need a PR3 ecu (eg6 one) I'm not 100 % sure about the ecu code.

If you buy a chipped ecu SPECIFY that your car is a USDM or JDM market one, if you don't specify this the ecu you'll get might give you check engine errors :nice:

What do I need for a UKDM, P30? I shall be giving this ago next month!
