I have just fitted some defi gauges in my car and am not sure what they are meant to be reading?.

Can anyone tell me what the oil temp should be and the oil pressure and water temp i have a b18c6 in the car if that makes a difference.

Oil temp while normal driving is about 80 deg and water about 90 deg. If i remember rightly my oil press gauge reads 35 or 40 on idle and 70 or 80 when revs up. I have no idea what unit mine is.

Have you got a facelift 9? Where have you fitted the gauges?

Once the water is up to 80-90deg and oil is at least 80 deg the car is fully warmed up, the oem water thermostat opens fully at 88deg so should read about 90deg most of the time, fan kicks in at 94deg iirc

as for pressure, as a rule of thumb you require 10psi per 1000rpm, i've checked off the record function on my gauges and oil pressure peaks at 93psi so spot on

hovers between 13-18psi on idle (750rpm) once fully warm with oil at circa 90deg

oil pressure during idling when cold start shd be 5kg & when warm up shd be 1.5kg. this figures r fr the honda dc2r workshop manual.
