Firstly we have our grey eg6, which made 450bhp last year and posted a 11.006 at santa pod. This year weve made a few changes and have made it legal for the hks pro class.

And secondly we have my personal car, which is aimed to be a quick street car. Hoping to make some passes this year. She should be near completion in a few weeks. Dont have any decent pics at the moment, but heres one crappy one:

Sorry for the poor quality pics, ill post some decent ones very soon.

Thanks

Thats a huuuge huuge turbo

love the black and gold block

Its bloody huge LOL. How long does it take for the turbo to spool up?

You get full boost by 5400rpm, I wouldnt really want to have full boost any earlier. The nice build up of torque aids better traction. If I was to have a side by side pull with a NA b20 with 220bhp from 3000rpm in 3rd or 4th, id still be pulling in front.

Thats some excellent times Yasir, hopefully I will see this car run this year at some time. That time should (I think) qualify your car for FWD at TOTB, are you entering the car?

looking good, specs on the engine/turbo/ems/how much boost, what kind of fuel? looks good!

Yeh we should be at TOTB hopefully, we were there last year. At that time we were running xs power turbo kit with the GT30R. I think are best time then was a 12.2

We should be at pod this month though 21st/22nd, hopefully the testing will go well :)

My car:

Sleeved B18a 85mm
wiseco pistons
eagle h-beam rods
crower valvetrain with stage 2 turbo cams

Garret GT35R
tial 44mm wastegate

Hondata S300
RC750s

Currently making 348@10psi and 400bhp@15psi. On 91 octane fuel.

Nah dude, from the uk. And sorry I made a mistake, its 95ron that I use. Shell v-power :)

Thanks dude. Yes, CPL are our main target this year lol should be interested :D

haha I couldnt remember, so I did a search in google and it said 95. But yeh I think your right being 99. Is optimax and v-power the same btw?

A friend of mine did the head, ill ask him what exactly he used. Your a guy whos had experience with turbo hondas right? On honda tech etc everyone seems to love the NGK blues, but ive had nothing but headache with them. Standard honda leads seem to be working better then anything so far, what were you using for your build?

thank you for the praise, well the NGK are good but there is a bit of a misunderstanding, they are not better than stock, they are about the same, they hold up the same, there cheaper and there blue, thats why i bought them, but ive seen many cars enter the 600whp mark on stock plug wires.

i had a guy who used to make custom spark plug wires for us, he used his own wires, he said there is no aftermarket wire was better than the stock honda. Just replace them with a new set if your in doubt :nice:

Thats good to know, finally someone that agree's with me lol.

Whats your vue's on the water cooling for the turbo? We used the water cooling on the grey eg and it caused engine temp to get abit more hotter. Some people say theyve ran there turbos for 3years without the water cooling and some say you really need it to help the turbo last longer. Id like to run the cooling on the turbo, but if theres no need then why bother..

if there was no need Garrett would not engineer it that way, the people who say they last 3+years are probably running very low boost so the turbo is not under much stress. i would not chance a $1400 turbo. if someones motor runs hot they should get a bigger rad, higher cfm fan, oil cooler etc... to not connect the turbo water lines is the wrong way to go about it, i think mostly those people are just cheap and lazy. my friend works for Honeywell (Garrett), i think i might ask his opinion on this. but i personally would not dare delete the water lines.

Yeh I think im going to get some lines made up, but yeh it would be cool to know your friends view on this :)
