would a pw jdm power chamber bolt on to a oem gsr intake manifold or do i have to change it?

it will not work because the throttle body is in the wrong place on the GS-R manifold.

You need something from blox or Skunk2 to replace the OEM intake manifold, but you would also need the ECU reprogrammed since VTEC will activate too soon and cause a huge dip in power otherwise.

Of course it would fit. Why dont you think it would?

pretty sure it will fit, and why would the vtec point changed if you change intake or even intake manifold ? the ecu decideds when to engage vtec. if it physically fits it will not change vtec point etc etc

Bon you seem confused on this one.
I'll explain it better. The GSR opening is down lower, and standard manifold opening is up higher. The standard PWJDM intake won't fit.

The GSR manifold is a dual stage where there are two separate sets of runners and butterfly valves inside it. The eight runners eventually merge into four before entering the head. In the GSR motor VTEC engages at 4400 rpm, and the secondary butterfly valves inside the IM open at 5700 rpm's, letting air also flow through the second set of runners inside the IM.
Raging angel recommended changing to a type-R style manifold with only four runners and no exta butterfly valves, to fit the regular style PWJDM intake. But if you have a unmodified GSR ECU, VTEC is still going to activate at 4400rpm's, causing a drop in your mid range because that changeover point is too early for the type-R manifold.

alright kool but i still have to reprogram the ecu?

You only need to reprogram/change the ECU if you change your intake manifold. You could just buy the GSR style power chamber as jime64871 recommended and nothing has to be changed.
