pdapaul's YellowSpeed Time Attack EKK24 on ITBS

As ever, making good use of a couple of combo days off :-D

Got my Tegiwa Bumper scoops fitted, not sure what I'll use the intakes for, but I'm sure I'll find something. Anyway I love the way they finish the front end off.

Also installed a lightweight marine blower that will help clear the screen. Earlier I'd mounted an ally pipe in the floor with a 96mm hole drilled in the floor. The hole is directly over the exhaust, so should give nice warm air to clear the screen. It's all wired up, with all the unused bolt hikes etc covered to give the best flow.

Under the bonnet is almost finished. All the wiring us tidied, and anything unnecessary got rid of. Gave it a good clean up, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Just got the brake pedal box and hoses to install, a catch tank, and that should be under the bonnet done. Here are some pictures if when I got it, and then yesterday. It's never going to be a show ho' but it is nice to see how far it's come.

What's happened to the brake servo/master cylinder?

I'm fitting a SW Motorsport brake pedal box. It's twin cylinder with brake bias, designed to replace the original m/c and servo. it's a beautiful bit of kit, and is perfect as I've removed all of the abs.

Nice updates. Could use the intake holes at the front for brake ducts?

Definitely!! I'm going to wait for the moment as I'm still unsure as to a few directions the build could take. When the new side skirts land it will give me a better idea as I'll be able to see how they interact with the wings. If all goes to plan I'll be making the wings vented, so should give good venting to the discs. This would free up the n/s vent to make a CAI for the air filter.

What side skirts you importing?

I would have kept the Karcepts cold air intake, it works very well.

I have kept it, it will possibly be for dry days. After a terrifying moment with an AEM CAI on freshly built k20 I'm always wary of CAI's. It is only a 2 1/2 diameter as well, and I found my previous k20 a 3" non CAI worked very well.
