How flexible are you prepared to be on price?
A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and no one seems to be willing to pay what it is up for at the moment.
I'm interested in this car, but not at the current price. Especially seeing as it is at the other end of the country to me.

what you said about the car is only worth what you want to pay there are others about but they wont be as clean and tidy as this you pay for quality nowa days that's my opinion
You can get 9s as low as £3995 now though, £5k is no longer the base price.
If a seller only has one potential buyer offering £800 less than asking, then he has two choices, either take up the only offer on the table and get the car sold ASAP, or listen to a bunch of people on a forum with no vested intrests in the transaction telling him that it is worth more and thus dragging out the sale for months.
Personally, when I have something for sale, I want it sold ASAP.
If he's a serious buyer, message or phone the seller in person and have a proper talk about buying the car.
Cant believe this car is up for this price !!!!!
THIS IS MY OLD 9 AND ITS A FOOKIN BELTER SOMEONE IS GETTING AN ABSOLUTE STEAL AT THIS PRICE !!!!
