powdercoating rocker cover

im gonna get the rocker cover coloured soon, am i better painting or powder coating?, if going powder do i use the same paint code as if i was painting it? im goin for the yellow (spoon i think) look i think its y-56 is the code? can anyone confirm? thanks
 
yea thats correct, its phoenix yellow. Y-56.
edit- i've no experience with powder coating but it should be the same colour code as your still looking for the same end colour.

My rocker cover was initially powder coated! I thought i had cleaned the underside completely untill a part of shot blast chewd up my oil pump. Was lucky nothing else was damaged!

If i was getting it powder coated i'd make absolute sure its totaly cleaned mate it was a pricey mistake i made!!

As for the paint codes im not sure if they are the same

Na it was the shot blast that takes the old paint off, that waqs stuck in the small chamber in the under side of the cover!
 
if you are getting it powder coated dont go to tallaght powder coating, go to Barrelle instead ( i know your in cork but just incase!!!) TPC did a bad job on my old integras cover. i dont think you can use colour codes for powder coating though....

also i was told before that if the right primer is used painting rocker covers is fine....
