Just to be clear, a header does not add power "into" an engine... nor does the exhaust add power "into" an engine.
The header and exhaust tend to be bottle neck area's with the engine "exhaling".
The intake [intake pipe/manifold, throttle body] is the bottle neck with "inhaling".
The head itself is the true bottle neck, all the air and fuel needs to pass through the head...this is why the port and polish is key to success with these small 4 cylinder high compression engines.
Best results come from planning everything out in-advance; intake modifications, head modifications, exhaust modifications. All 3 work together to provide the HorsePower/Torque that can be seen on a dyno.
If you do not plan everything out, you could end up paying much more money to make the same power under a well thought out plan.
...sorry for the rant...just work out what your goal is for HP/TQ and build to that goal and you will be set.
