Price of B18 and B16B bottom end

Bought a low millage B16B 70,000 miles. And am going to fit a B18C6 bottom end not sure what B18 yet tbf.

Basically what would I get for my B16B bottom end roughly? and how much am I looking for the B18 bottom end on around 70,000 miles.

Just a rough price would be real handy

Hard to just get a bottom end for a b18. U might have to buy an engine with head with 70,000 ??. Got a b18c kit for sale
 
Yea? never done it obviously so can't say weather it is but I know that alot of people have done it with no problem?

Obviously buying a engine is easier but with time I thought I could find a bottom end?
 
over here, b18 bottom ends go for about £250+ depending on condition, not sure what a b16b one would be worth but i can imagine it would be around £200 at max.
 
Yea I was thinking B16 around the £200 mark. But I am happy with £250+ for B18. Are they hard to get hold of then?
 
Quick question... say if you were going to get all new internals for the block, there wouldn't be a difference between having a b16b and a b18 bottom end would there? Apart from the engravement on the front of course lol

Different crank, rods, pistons and stamp. Block itself is same tho
 
£450 for a b16b bottom end i reckon.

I parted out my dodgey bottom end for about £300

they are nowadays as more people putting on the b18 block to a b16 to keep costs down instead of buying a b18 engine, you might find it easier to get a b18 crank and rods rather than a full block.

the crank is different and the rods are longer in the b18. it would be safer to use the b18 pistons in the b18 block.
 
I will be doing pretty much a rebuild so maybe looking into getting crack and rods ect but if I can help it I will get the B18 engine.

o wow cheers lee that certainly got my attention. Crank will be coming out ether way so won't be any extra work.
 
Oh sorry thought you were after how much bottom end parts are for b18?
 
A friend of mine bought a b18 bottom end needing piston rings today for £260, there getting hard to get...

i will have a b18c bottom end for sale soon, it was knocking so removing to put a c4 in. pm me for details as I wont be wanting a lot for it as it will be taking up space
 
Yea changing rings or anything won't be a problem its all getting done ether way so ideally I would like that so I'm not chucking out a good set of rings or bearings ect.

I will be patient hopefully one will pop up. Thanks everyone very helpful
