Project milano red dc2

Start bolting up what you can on the stand and see what goes where. It's like a jigsaw.

Had a little play with the fittings earlier and surprisingly it was pretty straight forward once I had everything in front of me

That's the idea. :nice: I don't mind helping, but I prefer to help people find away to work things out for them selves than to simply give the answer away :p it's more beneficial for the person.

The inlet and outlet for the coolant supply doesn't matter. Preferably, I'd use the rear (side facing the block ) as the inlet and the other side as the outlet. Has Greg supplied you with the fitting that screws into the front of the blocks coolant drain port? The fitting should have really fine thread for it's size...

You need to show me where you're going to weld the oil return onto the sump. Take a pictures of the engine on the stand and tip-ex where you're going to put it. Remember it must be higher than the oil level.

Also, get some "Teflon " tape and wrap it around those coolant fittings on the Turbo...

Thanks Rich appreciate your input as always :nice:

Doesn't look like I have the fitting that you are referring to, I have however had a word with Greg and he suggested that the water feed can be tapped from the stock water pipe in rear and the upper water neck fitting in the front (not entirely sure what he means) and the water return can be fed to the bottom of the rad.

I'll get some pics up in a couple of days :)

edit - good shout on the teflon tape mate

Double edit! realised that I haven't posted pics of the engine bay, got the car back from the bodyshop on Saturday

Well I guess that's all for now, still lots to do!! will update soon :)

Fu#King insane build, fair play every detail of it.

Did a turbo conversion before, I used no water lines ive seen it done a few times and it never caused a problem, a lot of diesel engines dont use water lines for reliability reasons or whatever, aswell i had a s13 with a bb turbo in for work, and it too has the water lines blocked in the block and no water going to or from the turbo and its been a drift car for 3-4 years now, its just some thought
also i got the same thermal gasket after a local hondata supplier said they would not get me one, i had seen on the usa site they come with thermal washers, I bought some M10 fiber washers in a local motor factors and fitted these with some thread lock, weather it makes a difference or not, tesco it-every little helps.
