Okay so my car was pulling to the left a bit since I put on my coilovers, but I got all of this done to it and it is still pulling to the left.

- Tracking/Alignment
- Tire check
- Wheels balanced
- Coilovers adjusted to equal heights
- Camber aligned all round
- Tire pressures
- Checked the wheel bearing

Still, it pulls to the left. I reversed slowly whilst turning the car and the left wheel felt very odd, kind of as if it was free. I dont quite now what it is.

Could anyone help?

Check track rod ends for play? Also check your engine mounts, might be one broke.

Considering all the work that was done on it, I would have to say the only thing I can think it would be would be the engine mounts...You didnt hit no big pot hole sense ya got all the work done did you??

is it pulling all the time or just when you put the boot down..

Check your wishbone on that side for play and the balljoint.

No potholes or knocks or anything like that. The engine mount doesnt explain the strange feeling in the wheel though.

All of the time.

Surely the mechanic doing all of the work would have noticed that on Monday?!

Well put it this way Ben unless you know the mechanic and know he's good things can get overlooked or not even looked at, at all if not asked to be checked. But if you know him perhaps get him to throw it up on the lift and check all suspension and steering components again.

Hi Ben, Im in the exact same boat with my eg9 and I have pretty much just done the same things to my car as you! It did however just fail nct on a faulty track rod end and a booth on the passenger side of the steering rack. I think there might be damage to the stering rack with the ripped booth. If i sort it i'll let you know

Hes about an hours drive away from me. He has got an amazing reputation and is fantastic at all this. I also told him the car was pulling to the left.

let us know how you get on..i had a really bad pulling in my car when i gave it gas..it pulled like hell to the left.. i changed the tyre's around as there was 2 different brands on the front the tit in the place i got my wheels refurbed messed up putting them back on.. but there's still a little pull to the right when i put the foot down.. no where near as bad tho...

.....I have the same issue. Bad shocks/struts, uneven tire wear, motor mounts, alignment.....My steering rack is good to go.

i think in my case it might be the tyre wear as ive changed them around so they would prod all be fcuked up....

ive the same problem! hoping that polybushing the WHOLE car will work! everything else has been changed or checked!! :)

alignment!!!!! seriously, when i used to have my alignment done at a garage there was only maybe 1 time they got it right without me having to go back as the wheel was squint :nono:

check all of the bushes and arms though for any play, ARB drop links and mount bushes etc

worn track rods won't cause it to pull to the side, they will just give an excess of play in the steering

jack up one front wheel at a time, grab the wheel at 3 oclock and 9 oclock position and pull the wheel side to side, you will feel a knock if there is any play in either the inner or outer track rods

Also check the steering rack boots for tears, i got a small tear in my drivers one adges ago and as a result some dirt got in and wore out that inner track rod, replaced both at the same time and both boots also and been fine since

My car started giving a 'jurking' in the wheel to the left last night, at first i thought it was just flat tyr but checked the pressures and all fine also thought could be slack wheel nut but no there all tight.

So after reading through this post i'm guessing either track rod end, ball joint or steering rack?? As i said above it's not a constant pull to left it's like a jurking

Any help appreciated :thanks:
