Question about recaro's

So my buddy just bought some recaro's from a local shop. When we installed them into his car I noticed that the reclining knob was on the outside???(next to the door panels) I thought they were supposed to be on the inside (next to the e-brake). Can anyone explain this? Thanks.

took the seats off the rails and swapped them so the one with the knackered bolster is on the pass side ?

Is that not right cause the handle for flippin the seat forward is on the outside, wouldnt make much sense on the inside

They're on the inside and outside.
