If you look at the wiring behind each head light you should see a brown loose plug. This it the wiring Honda put in for the OEM optional fogs.:nice:
Cheers Dunx

The brown plug usually goes in the fuse box under the dash. its should be in position 2 which is only live when your lights are on.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but can't find the answer I'm looking for so have added to this one.
If someone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I have a 97 pre facelift EK9 which has Raybrig front fogs fitted. I believe this was an OEM option (correct me if I'm wrong)
There is a switch to the right of the steering wheel to operate them which looks like an OEM switch.
My MOT is due and I have NO rear foglight.
Can I use this switch to operate a rear light aswell?
I am happy enough to just put a hanging brick on for now and shift it into a cluster at later date.
I have a 21 LED red bulb to do this, but am looking for the easiest/quickest way possible for now.
Would I need to up any fuse rating if I run the rear fog off the same switch?
Is it possible to use this switch at all, etc.?
Any help greatly appreciated.

i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure front and rear fogs have to be on seperate switches for mot.
quickest thing to do is run power from ign, to a inline fuse, to a toggle switch, run a wire to the rear right light cluster, cut the positive to the reverse light, join your new positive to the cluster side of the cut wire and insert a red bulb in the reverse light. as long as its bright enough it should pass(have seen it done before and passed mot)
dont forget to insulate the spare wire:nice:

Where do you guys get your red bulbs from?

Also you'll need to make sure the switch lights up when the fog is on. But you'll need to make sure it wont turn on unless you have your lights on. So I would tap the power off your side lights as thats how it should be wired up.
