Race Base Facelift EK9


Didnt get much done today. Went to my friends to fit a mugen intake to a fn2 and took me alot longer than expected. Soo many fittings lol!

So got home and didnt have much time left. So i whipped the rear bumper of, and applied some underseal.

Also i took some pics of the back box, thing its a custom backbox, but thr welds look really gd. Kind of a dull thin metal not like normal ss. Maybe its titanium?

Until the weekend comes nothing i can really get on with as its dark when i get home from work! :(

But i after finding the dodgey rear light gasket i cleaned up the mating surface as the old gasket had been sealed on. I refuse to pay brand new prices for those honda rear gaskets, so i made my own. Hopefully they will do the trick.

Next week ive got coming
Front adjustable camber arms
D2 rear camber arms
Front lower ball joints
Track rod ends
Front arb drop links
Koyo clutch release bearing
Rear arb d bushings

Also ordering a blackworks dualcore rad and rad hoses.
And a set of oem shocks and springs until i find more road suitable coilovers.

Then the end of the month will bring hel braided lines, mtec discs and carbon loraine pads. :)
 
Nice 9 mate keep up the good work. **** the interior full cage would look the part.
 
Ye for now ive got a recaro speed for a passenger seat and thinking takata harness for my drivers seat. Then full cage later on. This weekend im goner strip the whole interior and waxoyl the arches then i might put the rear seats back in. Not sure. All i can think of is

Well the weathers crap. So im in my garage painting my wishbones.

And because race car. I dug these out my garage. where fitted to my mates car but just sat on his driveway and never completed.

Also got a set of rear trailing arm bushings.

Sun came out so i started stripping the rear suspension etc down. Called it a day now as im cold and hungry. But i finished paintijg one of the wishbones.

Then i stripped down the slave cylinder and cleaned/ painted it etc

Weather was **** today, but got the rear brakes of and ill be refurbing them this week. Also removed the lcas, arb and lower tie bar ( which is dented so im after another ek9 tie bar).

When there was a brake in the rain i jetwashed he front and rear arches and underside stripping of alot of the old shitty underseal. When the weathers dry ill give it another scrub and then get a few coats on the car.

Will update this week with brake progress.
 
Weathers been **** again but mamaged to strip down the brakes rdy for painting. Ill do it at work this week and take some pics.

Also ordered koyo clutch release bearing, cold air feed for my dc2 airbox, fittings for oil pressure and oil temp guages, and a better condition ek9 tie bar. Oh and adjustable front camber arms and rears
