I think a general book/google figure is around 1140kg, but thats the problem, theres too many factors to take into account like factory extras and the differences over the years, not to mention the differences between the UK and JDM specs
Best bet is to find a workshop where you can weigh it yourself, at least then you got an accurate baseline if you did decide to strip it later to lose some more weight
Thats the number I found too but the DC2 is available with different options and 2 gens and can never be the same weight. I have a 96 spec with ABS, aircon en 98 spec brakes but in the V5 docs it says 1290kg....I can hardly believe that.
weighed my lightweight 96 spec dc2.No abs, rear wiper 1060 standard and i had inside striped took it to weigh bridge and was 1000kg excatly, cant wait to weigh it with no recaro seats, a/c, powersteering
My car has been checked by the Dutch equivalent of the DVLA and I'll have my license plates soon They measured 1120kg on a calibrated weight bridge. That is without spare tire and half a tank and a few accessories like H-brace, torque damper, Honda Acces rear strut brace, MBC stopper, which would weigh in at about 10-15kg together. So a 96 spec with spare tire, ABS, aircon and 98 spec brakes without accessories and half a tank of petrol weighs around 1120kg.
My Ek9 has no AC / EW / PAS / ABS / SRS, It has one CF bucket seat & one stock Vti Seat, No interior other than dash and front carpet, Some small ad-ons like strut braces but they would weight no more than 12kg between them all. Does have a b18c instead of b16b though.
With 3/4 Tank of petrol and Me sat inside it came in at 1106kg if that helps ?
All depends how accurate the weigh bridges are too, a scrap may under read slightly as then they'd pay out less in scrap metal, a few are a little optimistic round me
The first bridge I was on was uncalibrated and weighed per 2 wheels. Front first and then rear. So I asked wether it was calibrated since I'd like to know the real weight. He then told me to drive the car outside to a weight bridge that was calibrated where I could see the weight, was 1120 Nice chap. On the other uncalibrated bridge he got 1130
