Removing rocker cover?? ...

I want to remove my rocker cover to paint it. Will I need to replace my head gasket if I do this??

not head gasket, might be an idea to replace the rocker cover gasket though.

the rocker cover gasket is probably ok , but i changed it for piece of mind . got kit which gave the gasket for the outer edge and the four around the holes for spark plugs . a sealant is also required to do it right , i got a tube of high temp sealant from work .

My rocker cover has bin on and off i dont know how many times with the original seal over the past 2 years and i havent got any leaks or weeps.

I would save your money and jus give it a clean and reffit it. As long as its not flattend, gone hard or starting to crack then it should be fine.
