Finally decided the rust on my rear arch is not worth trying to fix, it will just come back anyway eventually! So I'm going to buy a new shell and swap everything over.

Found another EJ8 up for sale, in black for £500, which I thought isn't bad! Plus it's local! Exterior is a bit of a mess, bumpers etc, but chassis is in cracking condition, no rust anywhere, and I had a proper good nosey!

Only thing is, it's an auto, is there any potential issues with swapping in my B18C with S4C?

Bearing in mind, the car will be completely stripped down to the bare shell, and all my existing interior, exterior panels, wiring, hubs etc etc will all be going on.

Thanks guys. Sort of what I needed, as far as I can tell the bare chassis is the same. Potentially one bit of cutting, but not 100% sure that is required if I'm swapping the whole engine/tranny/ancillaries/brakes etc out

Definitely be starting a thread when I get all set up to do this! Right now I'm struggling to decide on where to store it, new shell is only taxed until end of the month! Pick it up next week. Could store it at my flat in the secure car park, but.... in order for it not to get a parking ticket, have to remove the reg plates and tax disc haha.

this is it mate, having the time and money to do things is one thing, then having the space is the second .
