rev goes up no speed

hey guys hopefully someone can help me with this one,my car rev seem to go up but no increase in speed or pull in v.tec.it just scream and no speed will really appriciate if someone can help.

put the car into gear before you rev i couldnt resist saying it lol but it does sound like your clutch is slipping

it could also be that you have lost the transmission completely, fell off the car.

To me it sounds like the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is buggered

The last time my speed sensor was faulty the engine management light came on and this is a new gearbox.

I do hear vtec kick in car jus doesn,t pull the way it should when it come in. doesn,t do this all the time. I have exedy oem replacement put in by the owner before me i can feel power but no speed i dont know realy.any help would do.

if your clutch is slipping BE VERY CAREFUL! the clutch slipping causes excess heat and could shatter the clutch plate and or flywheel. Both can be potentially VERY detrimental to the engine!!

surely you should be able to smell if its the clutch tho?? Have you tried looking for an CEL codes to double check if its the VSS?

its the Vehicle Speed Sensor, tbh though i though you lose the speedo function if this goes, its an easy fix but im with the rest of the lads id put my money on the clutch

Oh speed sensor. ok this,s what happen my gearbox gave up, bearing went. engine light came on and i got it diagnose it was the speed sensor, so i decided to get a new box, picked up a eg6 sir2 box, basicly im useing the speedo off the sir box could this cause it?

forgot to say the car limit out very quick aswel.do anyone experience this or it all could be down to the clutch or the vss.dont mind spendin money to fix it ones i know what it is very annoying.
