Robertson's Honda EK9

The "7 Tune" one has gone but I'll keep the "Minty Fresh" for the summer at least, it's all good banter.

I was going to do it this weekend but work has decided to send me to Japan, so it'll be another three weeks or so before I find out.

I haven't updated this since February so here's a few photo's and details. I went to Japan with work and had an amazing time, even getting a few days in Tokyo!

I was involved in the worlds first offshore Methane Hydrate production. Once onshore I caught the Shinkansen to Tokyo and visited Spoon Sports and Seeker along with other attractions.

I fitted the new engine mounts and a Gathers headunit with CD changer.

The mounts made a massive improvement in the car as the old rubber in the mounts were crumbling!

Yokohama Advan AD08's.

OEM discs all round with OEM rear pads and Ferodo DS2500 front pads. I've also got Motul RBF600 brake fluid and new RTA bushes to go in.

The AD08's / DS2500's / RTA bushes have really benefited the car, I can pin the throttle much earlier and have much more balance than before. The car got me to Wales with a great road trip visiting the Black Mountains and the Evo Triangle.

Before the car passed it's M.O.T. I fixed faults that have been on the car since before I owned it. Namely the non-functional horn, SRS light and the lack of rear fog light.

The horn I had great success with and was due to aftermarket horns being fitted in it's past. When the bumper was removed it revealed that they were never wired in correctly with no earth return.

So with that I removed one of the horns and the wiring. This then left me to use the original horn wiring and a new earth to have it functioning.

The SRS plug behind the dials was removed as a non-functioning light is only an advisory but a constantly illuminated light is a fail. The rear fog was used by re-arranging the rear light cluster so that one of the bottom side lights acts as a fog light via a switch. I continued with other maintenance like replacing the number plate lights as they were very dim. While I was at it, the clear plastic lens was cleaned up as they were in a bad state.

While removing the bumper I discovered it was cracked. This, coupled with it's horrid scuffed state, means that I'll get a new bumper over winter.

Changing the cam cover, engine bay bolts and dress up parts/stickers are also on the list for the winter along with a wheel refurb. More photo's can be found in my drive thread.
