not sure if im posting in the proper section.. but does anyone kno for sure if a car with a roll cage will pass an nct test in ireland? any irish members mite kno?

My mates ek9 with half cage passed few years ago, id recommend having it foam padded in the appropriate places though. as long as it is fitted properly id say its good to go!

hey Jdmfrank, just wanderin bout the cage,do ya know any1 that is sellin a cage?

no dono anyone sellin one just interested in gettin one :) few people have said bolt in cages are ok aslong as they dont move when in the car but just want to make full sure before spending money on one thinkin about gettin rid of theback seats and putting in a cage once i have the money

roll cages are ok, same as stripping out ur car, never seen anyone fail nct due to them and seen loads go through with, so they should pass, the only thing is if you get bad garda (we all know they exist!"!) if the check ur insurance and its not listed!!! mate got his twin cam taken and insurance cancelled due to this.....

also according to garda press office u are not allowed use harnesses in a road car, if you do not use oem seat belt it is like driving without one.... wonder is you use both?? (",)
