As the title says, I've got a rusty as hell EE9 that I bought a couple of months ago to see what the VTEC fuss is :D First plan was to have it resprayed and looking good, but a mates' mate decided to sell his B16B... So the car is still rusty :nerv:

Only got a couple of pics, but here they are anyway!

Still pulls surprisingly well considering the state of the manifold :shocked:

I know it's in need of a clean (or scrapping, whichever way you look at it), but I'm lazy so will wait until it gets resprayed :D Wheels are also shocking, but my mate is in the middle of refurbing a set of lightweight Enkei's that will be on it soon! Criticism welcome, I don't anticipate much positives for that thing :nerv:
 
She looks like a good project mate, definitely my favourite shape of civic. Good to see some more 4g civics on here. Have you been brave enough to take the sill covers off and have a look yet? How do the arches look?
 
Thanks mate. Nah, I've not had the heart to do it yet but I know they will be rusty as ****. The entire rear end is stripped out so I can see the inside of the arches. One is screwed :(
 
A little time (and money) spent in the bodyshop will have her looking great man. Don't worry too much about the rust as its all repairable and if you treat her right it shouldn't come back. Got a list of the spec or is she pretty standard?
 
Aye it'll be going into the bodyshop very soon :D

Erm... Not much in the way of a spec list really! The B16a1 that was in it had a few nice bits, but that is gone and in it's place is the B16B, (fubar'd) 4-2-1, and decat 2.5" system of not very known origin! The manifold will be replaced asap, and I'm waiting on my new wheels getting refurbished before I go for a bigger brake set up :) All time and money really!
 
It all sounds good man. Any pics of the b16b going in? Was the swap easy enough? Did you stay obd0 or change to obd2?
 
Very good car to start workin on! Not many like that around either!

Defo worth the work and have it minty fresh!
 
nice wee project there mate nothing a good underseal cant sort out :)
 
Love EE9's! Almost had 1 as my first Civic :D Oldschool square Japanese cars ftw!
 
nice car mate, rust doesn't look to bad compared to others i have seen. Would love a clean one of these. I also happen to have 280mm brake setup and a 5zigen manifold for sale if your needing them still?

And i'm in fife :)

That manifold actually made me laugh my tets off!!! Nice EE9 man, geet the steam cleaner and flapper wheel out on an angle grinder before waxoiling :)

I could be interested in both actually bud! Thing is, what sort of mani is it? OBD0 or 1/2? Still on OBD0 :( Even then though I could get Chizfab to drill the bosses in! What size is it? Thanks for the comments folks :) Unfortunately there are no pictures of it going in, I left all that up to the Hondoctor! The rust isn't as bad as I thought tbh. It'll be sorted. Aye, it's my favourite shape too! Can't beat a boxy old motor :D

It took me quite a while to get to the point of laughing, but I eventually got there haha The blowing pisses me off though :(
 
this car will be "jammin" as gav says once you get it re-sprayed dude :nice:
 
Thanks mate :) Just trying to decide on the colour now. I think midnight purple is winning at the moment :D
 
This is my mates old car, did you pick it up from down south? The bodywork is ****ed on it i would burst it if i was you

I know it is in a sorry as **** state, but I'll bring it back :D Aye, I bought it down South!
 
Could be a good project with time and money spent on her and id go dark blue or black :)
