hey guys i would like to know which on is better for my B16B , 4.4 fd S4C box or 4.7 fd S80 box? also i would like to know the advantages ? plz help

The S80 has a shorter 1st and 2nd and a longer 3rd 4th and 5th.

Fine if that's your thing, for me it's the complete opposite of the optimum setup of long 1+2 and short 345.

^ x3 s4c with 4.9fd and a shorter 3rd and 4th would be a well good setup! top end comes right down though!!!

You'd have a very short 1st gear and a massive jump to 5th though. I don't know about you, but I use 5th quite a lot, and I live on an island with no motorways! I guess the 1st gear thing won't bother most people. though.

My perfect setup would be a B18C with:
4.05 FD
3.070 1st (47mph, good for autotesting and hillclimbing)
Stock 2nd (2721rpm rev drop - 68mph)
1.695 3rd (1696rpm rev drop - 84mph)
1.387 4th (1584rpm rev drop - 103mph)
1.13 5th ( 1614rpm rev drop - 126mph at 8600rpm, 4761rpm at 70mph)

The s80 with a 4.7 has the same 1,2,3 as the s4c.
The jump from 3-4 with a b16b is huge with the s80 box.
I'm currently building a s4c with a 4.7 final drive. Would love a longer 1st gear but think ll manage with the oem one

The s80 with a 4.7 has the same 1,2,3 as the s4c.

The gear ratios are the same, but combined with the final drive it has the effect of making them shorter, while the longer 4th and 5th bring the combined ratio closer to that of the S4C. As you say, the drops between the higher gears are a bit too much, but overall the ratios are lower in every gear than the S4C.

S80 Ratios (Combined ratio)
Final - 4.785
1 - 3.23 (15.456)
2 - 2.105 (10.072)
3 - 1.458 (6.977)
4 - 1.034 (4.948)
5 - .787 (3.766)

S4C Ratios (Combined ratio)
Final - 4.4
1 - 3.23 (14.212)
2 - 2.105 (9.262)
3 - 1.458 (6.415)
4 - 1.107 (4.871)
5 - .848 (3.731)

An S4C with longer 1st and 4.7 final does sound ideal, good call!
