S4C Gearbox with 4.785

Dear Friends,

I am puzzled after referring to some local friends with regards to install 4.785FD to S4C EK4 non-lsd gbox. Some of them said that the FD need to be coupled with type R lsd in order to fit it in (as well as to work) some of them argued it can be installed without having me to put in the lsd (plug & play)

Hope you guys who has already experience / find out about this can leave some comments.

If the 4.785 is OEM 98spec, the LSD MUST come from an EK9 or a DC2-R or you must choose an aftermarket LSD that would fit the EK9/DC2-R.

Of course this can be avoided if you use MFactory's 4.785 or 4.9 as we take this into account.

Yeah,its and OEM 98spec FD. Meaning, it is recommended for me to find an LSD as well for them.

To save you the time and $$$, plan and do all the gearbox mods at once to save you from pulling it apart etc. Get a LSD.

I regretted not modding my gears while I had the box apart for the 4.785FD install. :/
