Alright, i have tried the search button, but i couldn't find it (if it is on here, excuse me :) )

But i want to know if getting a s80 transmission (LSD ofcourse) on a EK9 is worth it?

I know the pro's and con's against the S4C but i would like to know more about it from someone who has it on their B16B EK9.

Thanks in Advance.

Tim

i have done it, but i used the 4th and 5th from a s4c,

a stock s80 would give good benefits in 1st 2nd and 3rd, although 4th an 5th may not be so great, due to the larger gap between gears it will drop back further in the rpm range when shifting,

depends what you want to do with the car to weather its worth it for you.

the ratios on the 96 spec s80 are exactly the same iirc

however the 98 spec dc2 s80 has a taller 4th and 5th and a 4.7 final drive compared with the 96 spec 4.4

i got a 4.7 finaldrive off s80 gear box it seem ok even in fifth gear the car still pull but as said above it depend on what you want to use it for i say it will be very good if you go on track .
