Would anyone be interested in my brand new unfitted safety devices cage with harness bar?

It arrives next week.
Possible slight change in plan and I now need a weld in custom cage.

Would be up for a deal on the cage to get it gone.

Item for sale: safety devices roll cage with harness bar.

This is a bargain and almost definitely the best bolt in cage available for a ek!

What you planning on doing to need a weld in cage now?

I would like to build the car to MSA blue book spec.
And next year would like to compete in vtec challenge / hill climb / time attack events.

I urge you not to buy a custom cages cage.
If you've not pulled the trigger on the cage by the time we are at japfest me and Nicole will have our cars sporting arc-Autosport custom cages, Built by hand by our very own @Beetlejuice

And welds that you will polish and look at rather then hide !

Well I'm holding fire on all parts ATM.
Been in contact with Simon at performance autoworks, and he is pretty sure the safety devices cage will conform to MSA standards. It just won't meet FIA standards...

Mines being built to msa. That's all you need over here anyway.
The rest is excess safety if you want it IMO

Jesse do you mind me asking roughly how much its costing you and nicole for a cage, just to give me a idea pm if you want.

Nicole's is mega spec all the bars so I've no idea about hers. Knowing her she got it cheap though.
Mine is basic msa spec and was quoted around 1200, you'll find that's competitive for the type of cage it is.

Sounds reasonable mate, what difference do you think it will make to your car as it is now and after its fitted.

Should stiffen up the chassis a fair bit, it's more about my confidence in the car tbh.
It's getting abit hairy out there in this car now(as per last brands video) so a cage to protect me should give me that confidence to push past my current nerve limits lol

Glad to see safety is priority, sounds good hopefully car will be more tame.

Here's what I was told when I asked about homoligation

Ah thanks for that! That gives me more confidence that it will be ok :)):nice:

I did think why they didn't homologate it, cause they did with the integra cage.
Maybe there isn't as many ek9 race cars compared to integra's

I wish I had followed up and got one of the senior engineers to look in to it further,

I've got a safety devices cage in my mini that is approved, and is essentially the same design/fits the same way

How long have you had you're cage in the ek9?

Since July, however it's not been on the road for over a year

Looking super clean!
I'm liking the White cage, mines coming in powder coated black.
Looking really good mate. Have you resprayed the inside?

Mine came powder coated black as well but after test fitting it to tack the foot plates in I decided I wanted it a different colour,
I was debating grey interior with green cage but opted for a fresh coat of white over it all,

The floor pans needed doing because of the welding of the foot plates and the boot floor/spare wheel well looked shabby and needed doing anyway

Nice it looks very fresh.
I'm going to keep mine black for now.
Will respray the floor though.

Grey and green would of looked good also.
