Saxby's EJ9 budget build

They probably will stay silver tbh but got to be honest tempted with white. I like comet blue with white wheels.

Not too worried about the cleaning side of it. Got a nice bag full of AG goodies that do all the hard work :)

Although just moved house and there's no hose!! Need to get a connection put in asap, otherwise it's going to have to go to the local cleaners. :/

Wheels finally arrived... Well 2 of them, the other 2 are stuck in the Netherlands thanks to a strike stuck one on just because I'm impatient.
No tyres and won't have for a couple of months as I need to do a bit of repair work and decide on a colour but you get the idea.

Excuse the state of the car, moved house and there's no hose connection :(

Well it looks like the little ej will be going soon :( it's getting used more and more as it's always last in the drive and is becoming a pain. It's on eBay atm:( if it sells then I'll probably end up with an ma/b/c civic. Will be sad to see her go though. So will be putting more bits in eBay soon like the eibachs.

Would have put her and the bits on here but sadly not made the 250 posts. But can i still link the bits I put on? That way people have protection from eBay/ PayPal. (Although it wouldn't be needed)

Well…. After 9 years I’m actually back in an ej9 after being through a few cars last car died and a mechanic I know was selling a fairly well sorted auto ej9 so for £900 I couldn’t resist. So, the budget build is back on!

So, I’m looking at wheels. And even though I previously bought some 15x7 et35 wheels for the old ej9 they never ended up on it.

Anyone know if the et35 wheels will rub/ cause any issues once lowered? Will arches need rolling?!

I HAD 15x7 et35 with 195 50 15 tyres. never rubbed stock arches

It won't rub. On 205 tyres, maybe. I've got 205/50, +32 offset wheels and my car is lowered to the allowed maximum. Had to roll my mint arches. I'm not running a lot of camber on the rear either.

Thats great! Think the tyres on them atm are 195 45’s so should give me more. But they’ll change in time. BUT if you never hear from me again the wife has murdered me for buying wheels

So I went with 195/55 tyres, not sure if they look a bit too chunky for my liking but it needs to be lower to really know.

I do seem to have some positive camber on both front wheels so that will need sorting, but the front does sit around 15/20mm higher than the rear. Is that normal? or pointing to something needing fixing along with having slightly positive camber? Obviously the camber could just be a case of needing aligning.
